Funny, I and my family have been having
a conversation that ties in with this thought.
Things are very hard for us all in different ways this year; serious brain damaging illness, unemployment, menopause, retirement, homeloss, relationships crashing and burning… life just keeps sticking out a foot and tripping us up.
Inevitably when the family gets together there are sob sessions, rows and even suicidal talk.
It feels like we’re disintegrating as a family sometimes.But today 3 of sat down together and finally counted our blessings over a glass of classy wine(yet another rare pleasure in life, 1 more thing to be thankful for)I came away feeling very life affirming.
Even in our darkest times, we should take a moment to stop and share life, talk only of the good and laugh for goodness sake.It really is the best medicine.
